will make vampires scary again with a new version of Salem’s Lot

Plot

The author returns to the plot of his hometown of Jerusalem in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire. By Gary Dauberman in 2019 told Den of Geek magazine in June of his goal. As Ben reads old newspapers on microfilm in the library, the headline reads “Local Couple Victims of DUI.” The paper is believed to have been printed in 1956, at a time when the term “DUI” was not yet in use.. Well, that was a disappointment

Having read the novel several times and seen it many times in 1979. tv series in years, I was really looking forward to it. I realize it’s a lot to ask to cram a book into a two hour movie, a lot of story and character background had to be sacrificed.

The storyline also takes a lot of liberties, some seemingly for no apparent reason

All of our main characters are there, some obviously changed to fit 21st century norms, but not really fleshed out. I guess if you’ve never read the book you wouldn’t know what you’re missing. But the scariest thing about this movie is simple: if you’re the least bit of a horror fan, it’s not scary.

Like, at all

Look it up if you want, but the broth in this soup is quite thin. Looking for something else to add to your watchlist? Check out the movies and TV shows that are streaming this month.
