The town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Plot
Unravels the mystery of a town in the American heartland that imprisons anyone who enters. As residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc.
When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. Paved streets and roads were all that remained, and the fake town was built upon them. Martin (presumably) drops him a rope into the room above despite his wrists being chained.
Very intriguing series
Appears in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Starring The Pixies. Good storytelling.
Good horror TV
Good characters as most of them have common sense. Bloody as hell in parts. Lots of mysterious things to ponder.
This one is a good one in my opinion
I thoroughly enjoyed season 1 and hope they make another one. There aren’t that many good horror TV shows around anymore.
