Plot
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan burst onto the folk scene, playing electric guitar and making his hand the voice of a generation that defined one of the most significant moments in 20th-century music. The scenes depicting the 1965 Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island, where Bob Dylan first performed in public with an electric guitar, were filmed at a seaside resort in Cape May, New Jersey. Given the resort’s commitment to its National Historic Landmark designation, as it focuses on Victorian architecture, as well as other architectural motifs from the 19th and 20th centuries, only minimal editing was required.
